Who gave the order!!!

A lot of people
have been numb for a few days following the Lekki massacre but as we gradually begin to get a grip of ourselves reality dawns on us that Lekki massacre was real. The guns meant for protection of the Nigerian citizens was actually turned on citizens who were peacefully exercising their human right to protest regarding issues that threatened their lives, the lives of loved ones and numerous Nigerians. While the wave of the physical protest seems to have died down, the lives of these innocent citizens who committed no crime other than sitting down peacefully waving the Nigerian flag and singing the national anthem can’t be swept under the carpet and life continue as usual. Hence, it was of great shock that the president addressed the nation and made no mention of the massacre. Well his body language spoke a lot and he further reiterated it all with his speech that he really doesn't care.

Nonetheless, we are certain they did not die for nothing because the continuous protest over the last few of days has made one thing clear to all Nigerians that we are stronger united and the divisions sowed amongst us is only driven by the few who have held our country ransom and will continue to sow seeds of division to ensure that we don't collectively demand our rights. However, they ought to know that it is time up and we citizens now know better and will not back down with the demand of building a better Nigeria where the son of a nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody.

Therefore, it will be a complete disservice to the comrades who lost their lives on this struggle that affects us all if we fail to unearth the perpetrators of the massacre. While some persons may try to sell us a lie and continue to deny the military shooting at innocent citizens, the evidence abound. Thus, as citizens who have stood up in protest demanding accountability and transparency, in addition an end to a rogue police unit which decided to perpetrate evil and continually harm the citizens they were meant to protect. It is paramount that the world knows who gave the order and the said person brought to book. Therefore, as citizens of the federal republic of Nigeria we must  collectively mount pressure on the National Assembly who are our representatives to call the president and GCFR to order, demanding to know who gave the order and every single person who was part of the team that inflicted mayhem on innocent Nigerians.

It is difficult to understand how it is taking too long to know the team that carried out the massacre when we already know one of the officers who was at the scene in the name of Brigadier General Francis Omata. Although, news has it that he was only there to stop the massacre, he can tell us those who he made to stand down and the commanding officer of the unit should be able to tell us who gave him the order to march on innocent citizens on the said night and so doing the chain of command will lead us to the person who gave the ridiculous and brazen inhuman order. The entire military and government hierarchy involved should be held accountable and brought to book. Thus, while we continue to demand and trend for an end to SARS (#EndSARS) we must also demand and trend justice for the Lekki victims (#Justice4LekkiVictims) alongside who gave the order (#WhoGaveTheOrder) because never again shall we allow impunity to go unpunished in our land.

The graduation speech that I never released!!!

It has been a hell of a year culminating in a hell couple of weeks of incessant flights and trains. Running from one end to another to meet various events. Gracefully, I have been certified to practice in the United Kingdom, also awarded a Master’s degree in Public Health from the School of Health and Related Research in University of Sheffield. The University that drills into the mind and develops it, teaching you not to scheme the surface but be as critical as ever. It has been a journey of joy, pain, sleepless nights, long days and unending hours of reflection. The glourios bit is it all ended well, not because of all these, which I have been conferred with but because of the people I represent and inspire. From the little town of Oko-kingdom, off the banks of the prominent river Niger that marks my nation Nigeria. To the little council area of Angwar- Sunday, Sabon-Tasha where I was born and brought up, to Queency International school Kaduna, followed by the mixed military Command Secondary School kaduna and all the way to my medical college Madonna University Teaching Hospital. I did this for all of you who share these origins, for we know the very struggle we have been through. The joy of putting all those names out to the world has just begun because I will take you all places, so long as it pleases my

I am a youthful Nigerian!

Our voice so soft but true

We are so great yet so low

We are said to be free but bound by our own

We glow so bright when free from this bond

Not for any reason but the fire ignited in us by the mother land

How long shall we wait to see our true potentials put to work

It is time to stir the waters

Time to change the status quo

Time to be Younited

We must find the courage and resilience

We ought to put aside those things that have been sold to divide us

They are afraid of our Younited power, hence will do anything to ensure we remain divided

From North to south, East to west the same story of bondage by cabals

Now they are back again like the chameleon adapting to our environment

once they win, we see their true colour.

Overweight and obesity

Do you know overweight, obesity and their related conditions account for about 2.8million deaths annually and accounts for much more death worldwide than underweight.
Overweight and obesity are defined as "abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that may impair health" but clinically defined as a Body mass index (BMI) equal to or more than 25, and obesity as a BMI equal to or more than 30. BMI – The weight in kilograms divided by the square of the height in meters (kg/m2) – is a commonly used index to classify overweight and obesity in adults.
The common error in body weight assessment is using the weight without relating it to the height.

Broken Dreams!!!

As easy as it goes.

I felt something so real in my heart
Thinking it would someday go away
But many night and days have gone
and all I do is still pray

Biography of Thomas Sankara. C!!!

You can't carry out fundamental change without a level of madness.
Thomas Sankara was Burkina Faso’s president from August 1983 until his assassination on October 15, 1987. Perhaps, more than any other African president in living memory, Thomas Sankara, in four years, transformed Burkina Faso from a poor country, dependent on aid, to an economically independent and socially progressive nation.
