It is in the vein man’s nature to lay blames for his
shortcomings while an astute man would not only blame but come up with measures
that would forestall a repeat. Sometime ago Nigerians woke up to a very funny
happening where the senate president told his fellow senators that the 2016
Budget of change passed by President, in its chambers
was missing/swapped whatever the tale which I never really saw a need to follow up because that was the height of irresponsibility by people who are well above 35yrs of Age by our constitution. The following weeks saw an unusual outburst from the social media constituency of Nigeria in respect to the Budget of change and as usual the change agents termed them all members of the wailers constituency, however this week has been eventful as we saw the various MDAs coming forth to defend their various budget and several outcry of inherent errors, ambiguities and padded figures smuggled into the fiscal document.

All these happenings bring several questions to mind;
1.
Were these figures added from the sky?
2.
Who are the members of the so called cabal?
3.
Were the various ministers not in the know of
the final compilation?
4.
WHO TAKES THE FALL?
5.
Do the EFCC need a petition or more funds to
bring the parties to book?
6.
Is this not a major pitfall on the side of the executive?
7.
Do Nigerians deserve an unreserved apology?
8.
How long can we as a Nation continue like this?
While we
sit back and ponder over this few questions, we must also know that the change
we seek as a nation is achievable but not if we continue in the same old diet
of corruption, poor accountability and injustice. People need to become
responsible for their actions and accountable for the trust bestowed on them,
take the glory when it is bright and also take the fall when it is dark.
